An invitation
We live in a time when we know more about ourselves than ever before, and yet so often feel like strangers to ourselves.
Many people come to therapy carrying a feeling that is hard to name. A sense of disorientation. A restlessness or emptiness. The feeling of not being quite present, in their own life, in their relationships, in themselves. Sometimes it shows up as anxiety, as exhaustion, as the diffuse sense that something is not right, without knowing quite what.
And that's ok.
Often, underneath it all, there is a loss of connection, to oneself, to others, to what gives life meaning.
Therapy is less about fixing and more about becoming. Less about making the pain go away, and more about discovering that you can survive it, even the parts you might not have let yourself feel.
